The Nagytarcsa warehouse logistics center of 33-year-old Trans-Sped has been operating since the spring of 2021, and with a staff of more than 100 people, it is now a significant employer in the settlement.
"At Trans-Sped, we consider it important to be sustainable in all areas of our operation, to reduce our environmental impact, and to help the people living in our environment. Nearing the end of last year we held an internal discussion on gifts for our business partners, and decided that instead of the fragmented, formal gifts intended for numerous parties, the amount allocated would be used for the Csillagszem Kindergarten’s solar panel investment. This initiative was supported by both our colleagues and business partners, and we trust that more and more people will follow this path. After all, with this kind of support, we can help in a really useful and durable way." - said Szabolcs Fülöp, Managing Director of Trans-Sped Kft.
In addition to the staff of the Csillagszem Kindergarten, the children attending the institution and a number of parents were also able to participate in the handover ceremony. More than 200 local children already attend the municipally maintained kindergarten.
"We are very pleased that Nagytarcsa is an increasingly popular place for residence among young families. The settlement is getting younger, many new families are moving here, so we are able to accept more and more children at the Csillagszem Kindergarten. Our kindergarten is certified as a green kindergarten, and we want to pass on environmental protection values and a sustainable approach to the children and families, not only over the course of our operation, but also in the education and attitude formation of the younger generations. Once again, I would like to thank Trans-Sped Kft. for its support." - said Tamás István Gulyás, Mayor of Nagytarcsa.
Sustainable operation is extremely important to Trans-Sped. At the company, everything is being done to ensure that the logistics processes are truly greener and more sustainable. At the end of last November, the company introduced its first electric truck, which will be charged using solar panels during its everyday operation. The electric truck will be used for the continuous supply of an urban transport task, thus freeing the urban environment from large amounts of harmful substances and dust and noise pollution. In addition, most of the forklifts at Trans-Sped are also electrically powered, and the Trans- Sped ZERO service, launched in 2021, enables shipping without packaging and space-filling material using lockable, reusable plastic crates.
