Responsibility

Responsibility
Due to our activities, we have a significant impact on our social and natural environment. Accordingly, we consider it our mission to make logistics more sustainable and environmentally friendly. To this end, we have implemented numerous actions, whether in our daily operations or in the introduction of new, eco-conscious services. Since our foundation, responsible corporate governance, mutual harmony with those living in our environment, sustainable development, and environmental protection have been integral parts of our company philosophy.

THE PILLARS OF TRANS-SPED'S SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

With the EcoVadis bronze rating awarded for our proven commitment in the field of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), we aim to set an exemplary role in social responsibility both regionally and nationally. To this end, we provide opportunities for open and bilateral communication for members of the corporate environment, our customers, and the directly and indirectly affected public. We also convey our commitment to sustainable development as an expected behavior to our partners.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

The logistics industry is a sector that burdens the environment, so every actor in the supply chain must take decisive steps to mitigate environmental impacts.

Our environmentally conscious operations have earned us the Greengage Award. Our sustainable approach is reflected in the use of environmentally friendly solutions, methods, and vehicles: the average age of our vehicles with Euro 6 environmental classification is 1.5 years, a significant portion of our material handling equipment is electrically powered, and in pursuit of our long-term goal of carbon-neutral operations, we have put into operation an electric truck converted from a diesel truck at our Debrecen site. Additionally, the introduction of custom freight and transportation software and a program analyzing drivers' driving techniques further serves to reduce emissions and fuel consumption.

Our nationally available green e-commerce service, named ZERO, which is considered unique in the market, enables packaging-free delivery, thereby reducing the ecological footprint of the sector.

In line with green energy usage, we have initiated a comprehensive energy efficiency program in warehouse operations and installed solar panels on the roofs of our warehouse buildings. Responsible waste management and waste reduction are treated as priorities, with a strong emphasis on selective waste collection, recycling, and paperless operations.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Our company takes responsibility for the community that provides us with resources, ensuring that the energy invested is actively reinvested locally. We regularly support local communities by providing donation transport and assistance to those in need, as well as various charitable and nonprofit organizations.

We consider promoting road safety as a key area of focus, as it is integral to our operations. Additionally, we see it as our mission to support domestic logistics training and encourage young people to engage in responsible professional commitment.

As multiple winner of the Beloved Workplace Award and the Family-Friendly Workplace Award, at Trans-Sped, we are committed to workplace equality, the principle of equal treatment, employee satisfaction, training, health, and well-being. We strive to create a supportive and positive work environment, comprehensively addressing occupational health and safety issues. Moreover, we place great emphasis on the personal and professional development of our employees and on achieving a balance between work and personal life.

In the region, beyond the professional and business cooperation of market participants, there is also a need for initiatives that serve the selfless assistance of our fellow human beings, such as voluntary blood donation. Such blood donations can be interpreted as both common charitable breaks from work and community events, during which participants not only help others but also enrich themselves by doing good deeds. Voluntary blood donation not only provides life-saving assistance to patients but also strengthens community cohesion, emphasizing the importance of unity and solidarity.

ECONOMIC, BUSINESS RESPONSIBILITY

We consider it crucial to ensure an ethical business practice in line with social responsibility, providing fair prices and ensuring fair trade. Through the application of the latest digital technologies, we aim to automate and optimize business processes, enhancing efficiency and providing services that fully meet customer needs. Our high level of service is guaranteed by our quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety policies. Operational processes are regulated within the framework of the ISO 9001 quality management system since 1996. In order to preserve the environment, we introduced the ISO 140001 environmental management system in 2007. Ensuring the safe employment of our employees is essential at every site and business unit. We strive to prevent injuries and health impairments, which we ensure through the workplace health and safety management system according to ISO 45001.

As part of our responsible procurement, we actively strive for fair and ethical communication and work with our suppliers and clients throughout the entire supply chain. Furthermore, we aim to ensure that our supplier activities are sustainable, actively supporting our partners in achieving their own sustainability goals. With a focus on environmental considerations, we aim for long-term sustainable economic growth, creating value for both our employees and our clients.

The success of our business lies within our employees and is built upon the trust received from our customers and clients. We handle value, we create value - both are significant responsibilities. This is not only something to be earned but also something to sustain in the long run. Hence, we adhere to authentic, fair, and ethical operations and conduct as essential principles.
